Get married in Montepulciano

A place of outstanding beauty for the most beautiful “I do” of your life.

Lots of people who don’t live in the municipality of Montepulciano come here every year to get married, and many of them come from abroad. Some end up here by chance, during a holiday, others for business, and others have even found love here. And how could it be different? This is one of the most beautiful places, with the most beautiful landscapes, in Tuscany.
The Municipality of Montepulciano is providing couples and their guests with some fascinating locations in the old town and in one of the greenest areas of Val di Chiana Senese for civil wedding ceremonies.
The areas in the old town are located in the inner courtyard (photo n. 1), in the Board Room (photo n. 2), and in the Council Chamber (photo n. 3) of Palazzo Comunale [Town Hall], which overlooks Piazza Grande; in the inner courtyard (photo n. 4) of the Fortress, within walking distance of the square; in the lovely gazebo, in the center of the Fortezza garden; in the lovely gazebo in the center of the Fortezza garden (foto 5); in the Crociani Civic Museum and Picture Gallery (photo n. 6), a treasure chest of art and beauty; in the splendid Teatro Poliziano (photo n. 7); and, finally, in outdoor areas close to the Montepulciano Lake Nature Reserve (photo n. 8), where nature and beauty are merrily united as well.
Obviously, availability is regulated. The staff of the Registry Office is at your disposal to supply all the information on the documents required and the performance of the various formalities, as well as the fees for use of the spaces available.
For couples getting married in Montepulciano, the Municipal Administration has conceived and created a small, elegant, personalised gift to remember their special day by forever; a gift which represents two of the essential aspects of the town’s culture – wine and literature.
