Christmas in Montepulciano is back

After the extraordinary success of the previous editions, Christmas in Montepulciano is back, with lots of new treats and surprises for the whole family. Then, you can dive into the enchanted atmosphere of Santa Claus’s Castle, filled with surprises and attractions.

Christmas Market

Just a few steps from the walls of Santa Claus’s Castle, a typical Christmas market awaits you with its wooden cabins and festive decorations. The market is hosted in the magical setting of Piazza Grande, and along via San Donato and the neighbouring streets. At the market you can indulge in specialties and warm treats typical of quality street food.

Great attention paid to the originality of the crafts, the involvement of the arts and crafts associations and different types of products. You will find wonderful array of Christmas decorations, food products, sweets, clothing and leather goods, local crafts and so much more. Thanks to the vast pedestrian area, the market is also the ideal place for shows and entertainment for the whole family.

Santa Claus’s Castle

Again this year, the Medieval Fortress of Montepulciano hosts “Santa Claus’s Castle”. Massive, imposing, majestic, with many indoor spaces open to visitors, decked out with festive decorations and full of surprises that will amaze both children and adults. Find out where Santa Claus lives with his elves, visit the magical kitchen, the study, the master bedroom, the elves’ bedrooms, the winter garden where the reindeer rest, get on the magical sleigh. At last, enter the legendary throne room, where you can meet the landlord, the “real Santa Claus”, and post your letter in the enchanted contraption. Fun is guaranteed, and so are surprises… a very special and captivating room where to experience emotions in real time! We are sure this “journey” will leave everyone, and we mean everyone, breathless. In the garden of the Castle, enjoy a ride on a gentle little pony or tuck into some street food, both sweet and savoury, in the equipped and sheltered area.
