Live Rock Festival 2022, from the 7th to 11 th of september

The LIVE ROCK FESTIVAL, which is by now one of the most anticipated and renowned festivals in Italy, reached its 24th edition. Five nights and more than 100 artists alternating each year on the Acquaviva stage. Rock and avant-garde, electronics and world music, reggae and folk, blues and jazz: the musical journey of the festival focuses on original productions, international projects, new technologies and ethnic roots.

SOLIDARITY

Amongst the superconcerts, the gastronomical excellence and environmental awareness, Acquaviva supports two major international solidarity projects with Intersos and Amnesty International – Italy.
INTERSOS promotes the “HELP children escape from war” campaign that will be active during the period of the festival.
AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL campaigns for Human Rights, and its main focus will be on “Child marriage is not acceptable”. This will be illustrated by the prestigious organization at the event.

ECOCUP

What is it? ECOCUP is the eco-friendly choice for the LIVE ROCK FESTIVAL. Only reusable and washable cups will be distributed at the stands, so as to reduce waste production and minimize environmental impact.
How does it work? EcoCup is easy to handle and store: it is a reusable, washable and recyclable cup. You can choose to keep the official LIVE ROCK FESTIVAL cup and use it for different drinks during the festival or hand it in and get your 1 Euro deposit back.
Why? To stop utilizing single-use cups, which are the main source of waste at music festivals: the use of disposable materials, whether they are biodegradable or not, involves huge procurement costs and additional costs of waste collection and disposal.

RE LIVE

The Live Rock Festival believes in free trade. You can bring any items you no longer use to the festival, get a voucher and exchange it for other goods. Trading and swapping bring immediate satisfaction thanks to a fair and tangible profit obtained exclusively between the participating subjects.

ECO CULTURE

The LIVE ROCK FESTIVAL is characterized by eco-friendly projects managed by Collettivo Piranha and Legambiente.
MATER-BI LIVE: The festival’s food facilities use biodegradable crockery, in fact in the last two editions the LIVE ROCK FESTIVAL recycled 93% of its waste.
ACQUALIVE: At the festival there will be water purifiers for the distribution of public water, to promote water as an essential right for all.
ECOEXHIBITION: There will be an area dedicated to enhancing the green economy: organic and recycled products and an exhibition of new renewable energy tools.

FOOD AND WINE

A restaurant, pizzeria, and brewery: the LIVE ROCK FESTIVAL seeks only the best in food and wine. The staff is made up of young volunteers following typical Tuscan traditions, guaranteeing complete authenticity.

LOCATION

Acquaviva is a small village within easy reach of the main cities of central Italy. The Ex-Fierale Gardens turn into a meeting place for thousands of young people during the festival.

DANJIEL ZEZELJ

The LIVE ROCK FESTIVAL invests in the quality of communication: every year the official image of the event is produced by Danjiel Zèzèlj. He is a Croatian artist, who has established himself all over the world for the uniqueness of his designs. In addition to countless prestigious collaborations, he has created a cartoon for a Nike TV advertisement.

COLLETTIVO PIRANHA: THE ORGANIZERS

The Piranha Collective is a cultural development project that promotes the most innovative forms of artistic expression, encouraging new musical languages to emerge. It is made up of young volunteers who actively participate in the organization of events. (Tricky, Goose, Ojos de Brujo, Oumou Sangare, Ebony Bones! Speed Caravan, Asian Dub Foundation…).
