The Museo Civico Pinacoteca Crociani (Crociani Civic Museum and Picture Gallery) is in Via Ricci, not far from Piazza Grande. It occupies four floors and is arranged into five sections: archaeology, Montepulciano, the Terracotte Robbiane exhibit, the Pinacoteca and the Studiolo.
The numerous exhibits on display are all beautiful. They include a “Saint Agnese Segni, holding a model of the town of Montepulciano”, by Domenico Beccafumi, and a “Portrait of a gentleman” by Caravaggio. The Pinacoteca is enriched with a “Holy Family with the infant St. John” by Sodoma, and a “Madonna and child” by Signorelli.
The Terracotte Robbiane alone are worth a visit to the museum.
