Up to the 5th of October, you will have the opportunity to visit the great widespread contemporary art exhibition dedicated to Daniel Spoerri, defined as the “most multifaceted living artist”. More than 70 sculptures by the Maestro and other artists are displayed in various places in the historic centre of Montepulciano: the Crociani Archaeological Civic Museum – Picture Gallery, the entrance hall and cloister of the Town Hall, the garden and cloister of the Fortress, and the Contucci, De’ Ricci and Talosa wine cellars. Spoerri’s works have been made available by the “Vittorio Caporrella” Art Foundation, with other works by Mimmo Rotella, Arman and César (Baldaccini). The other pieces on exhibition are by Carin Grudda, Ali Traore and Georges Noisgonter, artists with whom Spoerri shared phases of creation, production and exchange at the Caporrella Foundry, and by Gino Filippeschi, Emo Formichi, Emanuele Giannetti, Riccardo Grazzi, Francesco Roviello and Piero Sbarluzzi.
