Book presentation: “The Irish and English in Italy’s Risorgimento”

On 13th July, at 5:30 p.m., in the Tempio di San Biagio Rectory, a book presentation will take place: “The Irish and English in Italy’s Risorgimento””, by Mary Jane Cryan (Ed. Archeoares). The event will be held in collaboration with the Italian Language School “Il Sasso”, in Montepulciano, whose students will be involved in a dual-speaker conference, in both Italian and English.  Mary Jane Cryan is an American journalist who has lived in Italy for over thirty years. The book is based on her historical and archival research, from which it emerged that some Irishmen and Englishmen chose to come to Italy and fight alongside Garibaldi’s troops or those of the Pope.  Admission is free, reservations are recommended, please write to  info@biblioteca.montepulciano.si.it – Phone +39 05787125621
